Tommi Mäkitalo
Tommi wrote the first open source reader application for the Zeno File Format which after it was introduced by Directmedia with the Wikipedia DVD 2005/2006, called TntZenoReader. Since then Tommi is involved in the improvement of the file format and the toolchain to create ZIM files. He is a founding member of the openZIM project and main developer. | |
Emmanuel Engelhart
Emanuel was involved in the release of the Wikipedia-on-DVD in France with the Kiwix project. After he learned from the first Zeno implementation he brought in a lot of new ideas, especially in the field of compression, indexing and searching. He is a founding member of the openZIM project and developer of the Kiwix reader software. | |
